The successful candidate will normally hold a PhD in Linguistics and will have a record of, or clear potential for, outstanding research. Appointees will be expected to: - engage in high-level research, - seek opportunities to win external funding for that research, - publish in their specialist field(s), - teach and examine undergraduates, - supervise and examine MPhil and PhD postgraduate work, - contribute to Section and Faculty administration. The successful candidate will have, or be expected to develop, their own independent research portfolio of world-class research commensurate with the international reputation of the Theoretical & Applied Linguistics Section at the University of Cambridge.
